log #365: ok alijansa Coming back to Beograd did not only mean to join the next session
with the guys from the "collective actions", it was also about "treci
beograd" becoming part of the "ok alijansa". (At the gallery)
There is this special place at the
banks of the river Danube. A private gallery as home and site of "treci
beograd". There is a lot of context our collaboration is based on, not only in
questions of what art is about, also about the best practice and the strategies how to
work on the tasks we found and how to make a living as an artist.
Spending the first days by the
Danube, my thoughts and some debates went around Duchamp and Beuys, about the strong
impact these guys had on the processes I came along as an artist. No more romantic
attitudes. A profession. And some ideas, what responsibility means.
Right now this is no place for
recreation, no destination, tourists would go for. It is a working area. And if I look
across the water, I see factories, I see ships go by, freightliners. A good place to start
something.
A shuttered terrain, good to leave
some signs, to set some steps. Pancevo is near, where the Nato did some heavy bombing
during the last war. They hit chemical industry, poisening the area for years. This
symbolical context of overcoming some poison...
