Mika back from Beograd, where she spent those tumultuous days
around the 17th of february, when things changed in Kosovo and Metohia. I received
messages from there, hoping, borders will stay open ... well, not for Serbians; not
without visa by a disrating procedure at the embassy. But Mika could arrange a lot of the
things we wished to achieve.
There will be "Led Art"-Stuff
and Nikola Dafo on location, there will be the "ok Galerija",
"kart"
of course and some action in the streets and works of young serbian artists. We are
spreading our steps, the moments and artifacts will be provided in Gleisdorf and in Weiz, but also in Graz. (Graz is the capital of Styria. Graz-Gleisdorf is about 25
kilometers afar, Gleisdorf-Weiz about 15 kilometers.)
The Weiz-Gleisdorf-Thing will be realized collabortaing with artist Walter Kratner. He
is working on a connection with Cornelius
Kolig. So we will develop a setup based on three generations of artists ... as we did
with "next code: love".
Meanwhile I am in touch with the painter Hannes Schwarz, who
was a close friend of Anton
Kolig, the grandfather of Cornelius. This all will also be related to the roots of the
"Modern Trend" in fine arts here in this region; branching out to South Eastern
Europe as a quest ...
Now Reinhard Braun
(Curator, "steirischer herbst") and Gerda Strobl (Assistant, "steirischer
herbst") agree with the basic concept, so we gonna check the details. And the work in
progress allready started of course.
