Curator Sigrid Meister checks the papers. We were heading Vienna to prepare the exhibition at the "Kunsthistorisches Museum" (museum of art history), the station after the exhibition in Gleisdorf [link]. (In the background you can see a triptych on Jan Vermeers "Girl with a Pearl Earring", done by "SPLITTERWERK".)

At Vienna we looked for the "Bassano-Hall" at the Museum. Dr. Christian Hoelzl, responsible for that part of the museum, gave a briefing to Sigrid Meister. The guys working there in that time were setting an exhibiton of contemporary art from Russia.

In the hall [big size view] will be shown works which are part of the "Stella Foundation". The title of the exhibition, „Dieses obskure Objekt: Kunst“, means: "this obscure object: fine arts". (Maybe an insinuation on the Bunuel-movie "That Obscure Object of Desire".)

After visiting Vienna we went to Goetzendorf, where the paintigs of the artists from Kosova ar stored. Major Helmut Gekle, officer and artist, is responsible for that part of the project.

We had to talk about a selection of the works for Gleisdorf and about matters of transportation. Gekle has the logistic instruments to manage the transfer. So we got a lot of support by KFOR, CIMIC and the austrian army. I don't think, we could have done that all without those institutions, cause it is still very difficult to cross the borders, if someone comes from that southern regions.

Some days later I found a note about that exhibition in the magazin "profil", saying that the works are part of the collection of Stella Kesaeva from Moscow. [big size]

The opening of the Gleisdorf exhibition will be on friday, the 14th of november. See the details on the extra website: [link]

The day after we will have a meeting of artist at Ludersdorf, a place near Gleisdorf. [next page]
